Gamme Spécialités A.O.C Alsace
” Gentil Dopff & Irion “
Gentil Dopff & Irion is a contemporary wine, the origins of which are associated with the great history of the wines of Alsace. Gentil Dopff & Irion is a common expression designating some noble blended wines from Alsace. Dry and fruity, Gentil Dopff & Irion exhales subtle mineral notes, joined by purity and freshness. Its texture is silky and refined.
Ottrott is a small district situated in the Bas-Rhin area. This wine is one of the rare “villages” appellations in Alsace. Pinot Noir was introduced here during the 12th century by the Benedictine monks and is especially suited to Ottrott. This wine boasts an attractive bright and limpid red ruby color. It exhales a subtle fresh and refined cherry nose. Rouge d’Ottrott benefits from an attractive particularly flattering palate of red berries (red currant, strawberry), including a fresh and pleasant sensation on the finish.
“PINOT NOIR RÉSERVE PARTICULIÈRE”
The grapes are derived from a selection of noble terroirs. The vineyard is planted in limestone as this is the best soil for Pinot Noir. Low yields help to obtain good concentration from the fruit and optimal maturity. The harvest is exclusively hand-picked. As a result, the grapes can be thoroughly sorted in the vineyard. The fruit is transferred solely through the use of gravity. This Pinot Noir is a red garnet color with a deep robe expressing violet tints. It benefits from a frank attack and a pleasant body free from heaviness. Its firm and melted tannins produce a silky wine. This offering pairs marvelously well with dishes such as veal cutlet and morel mushrooms or Christmas turkey.
